The eighties was the decade that took
us from disco to dance. Unheard electronic sounds such as synthesizers
and keyboards, along with drum machines were introduced. Artists such
as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Depeche Mode and New Order lead the
charge while events such as Live Aid in 1985 brought 80s music to new
parts of the world. Music merchandise was also introduced and who
amongst us did not have torn denims and a denim jacket with a Bon Jovi
or Iron Maiden transfer on the back! |
